Our ranch is bordered by the Ouachita River in the Ouachita Mountain range in western Arkansas. We are a family run operation dedicated to producing quality registered Hereford cattle.
We run a grass fed operation. Our cattle are raised strictly on organic grasses with some hay during the winter months. We never use commericial fertilizers or pesticides on our pastures. Our animals receive no antibiotics, wormers or hormones of any kind. All animals are registered with The American Hereford Association and are weaned with a full complement of vaccinations before leaving the ranch. We hope the following pages will be useful. Our aim is to market quality cattle at a fair price. Our wish is to please, and we are especially happy to accommodate return buyers. If you have any questions concerning our cattle or our approach to cattle production please feel free to contact us by phone or email. You can also visit us on Twitter at @BaeyensRanch or Facebook at Baeyens 3B Ranch where you will find a lot of pictures and commentary about life on the Baeyens 3B ranch.
An important part of our ranching operation is the use of working Border Collies. Dogs are trained to gather and drive cattle. Our cattle are moved on a daily bases to accomodate our rotational and mob grazing schemes. Our dogs are trained to gather and drive cattle to aid cattle movements to new paddocts. The dogs have become important partners in promoting the successful operation of the ranch. We have complemented the genetics of the dogs by incorporating European blood lines and McCallum blood lines out of Austrailia in our breedings. We purchase and raise dogs that are specifically bred to work cattle. We feel that we have some of the finest working dogs in Arkansas. Occassionally we have puppies for sale which will be featured on this website. Pictured below are some of our ranch dogs.
